Enjoying Great Seats!

Just got back from a Tiger’s Spring training game thanks to tickets from a friend in Ft. Myers. My daughter and I enjoyed the fantastic seats and beautiful weather while we watched the mighty Tigers battle the Red Sox. Spring training is just one of the great things about winter in Florida. The warm weather and sunny skies allow for just about any outdoor activity this time of year.

Punta Gorda Restaurants

There have been several changes to our downtown Punta Gorda restaurant choices and I thought that you might be interested in 2 of the more unique establishments. 
 
The first is the Ice House Pub.  After being virtually destroyed by Hurricane Charley most people thought the old Punta Gorda Ice House was doomed for demolition.  Thanks to the interest of some local owners the historic building was saved, restored and turned into an authentic English-style pub.  Along with the typical English food, they also offer an array of entertainment games.

The latest to open is Bin 82 which specializes in wine and microbrews.  They also offer some light snack foods to accompany your beverages.  Bin 82 is located on West Marion Avenue across the street from the new Sunloft Center.

Although the big chain restaurants are very well known, I think the small establishments are what add to the character of a small town.
